Markus Kehrer is an Austrian street photographer whose work focuses on observation, visual coincidence and the subtle absurdities of everyday life.
Working primarily in Southeast Asia, his photographs explore the relationships between people, animals, objects and urban environments. Rather than seeking dramatic events, he is interested in the quieter moments that reveal something unexpected about the world around us.
In 2025 his series Unexpected Encounters received the Bronze Medal at the PISPA Street Photography Awards, while The Watcher was selected among the Top 100 photographs in The Decisive Moment Awards.
